Anna Beckett and Andy Yates presented at The Institution of Structural Engineers’ Young Engineers Conference on the topic of ‘Thinking Differently’.
Their presentation aimed to inspire younger engineers to think positively, challenge established ideas and think differently to push for greater reuse on their projects.
Thinking differently is really at the heart of what The Engineers Reuse Collective is all about. How can we take the skills and knowledge that we already have and do something different with it? How can we work together as a profession to reduce the amount of material we’re using?
The Engineers Reuse Collective came about because we were all thinking differently about the way that we were using materials, but we were also thinking differently about collaboration and what that really means. We were thinking about sharing knowledge, sharing failures and moving the industry forward, together.
If you’d like to find out more about what we’re doing, get involved or come along to one of our events.
